IMDb is a great source of film reviews, and ways to get into contact with actors, producers, directors, and companies (when subscribing) and in relation to the reading of this week by Bogost and his tetrad IMDb is an example of a media platform that, like Facebook has its pros and cons. According to the Tetrad that Bogost has outlined in the reading when talking about IMDb we can see the it Enhances the public knowledge on the making of a film they are “dying to see”. They get the up to date actors and actresses like so many were waiting to see for the new upcoming Star Wars film. What IMDb Reverses into the private atmosphere of ordinary people not knowing the timeline of a film being made. It reverses into film critic  (magazine like) reviews. It also reverses into a talent scout agency where actors and actresses can personally contact certain companies to let them know about their “new” “unique” talents. What IMDb retrieves is the ability to share with the world information they wouldn’t be able to find as easily just googling around, and also the ability to broadcast new films and TV shows that are being posted by new upcoming directors. It also retrieves the small underground film industry and TV industry/ also the artistic underground experimental film industry. What IMDb obsolesces is the privacy of the film industry no matter being experimental art cinema, hollywood, TV shows etc, it removes the privacy and puts their locations on a public form. We are now able to see exactly where a film is being shot and what times (sometimes not always).
