Poetics

The overall intention of creating my Project 2 was to get the point across that my life is busy, hectic, chaotic, and overall makes no sense half the time. The idea of having it on WordPress came to me when I wanted all my projects, exercises, posts, on the same page for future reference. It’s more organized and put together when on the same host site. Also during the entire semester we were using WordPress so it was more comfortable to navigate WordPress than to start up a new page like Freewebs. Throughout our five week semester and learning more about Participatory Culture and Network Rhetoric, I used several lessons to help getting my way of participatory culture across. Relating back to group posts on random videos, memes, and images that related to the readings of the day only helped me process what I post on my social sites or send to my friends when trying to express my feelings or even something that is relating to my current life situation of the time when I send it. The multimodal aspect of of my project was composed by YouTube videos and various images I personally made, edited or created and some I just found online and related to my life personally. I used various Disney Images because of my dream goal of overall getting to work for them, but the reason why their are various pages, and posts on the pages of Metal Videos, Marilyn Monroe quotes and etc is because everything effects my currently lifestyle and I’m very busy due to this. The chaotic touching on everything from alternative outlooks, to Frozens- Let it Go compared to a goat, all have personally be involved in my process when thinking of projects for classes or new pieces for my portfolio. The Prezi is also something else that represents my school life. Going through the pages the ideal response from the viewer is that I am a busy person, always trying to be involved in everything while trying to maintain a social life. A Guide for participating, using Digital Media and Network Rhetoric is mainly about the posts having n underlining meaning. Some may not know that Avenge Sevenfold is a great inspirational music for taking pictures of Disney Characters and it doesn’t necessarily matter. When thinking about becoming part of a public pedagogy as participatory culture is around the idea that everyone with a Facebook account has the ability to participate within the public pedagogy, its understanding the underline meaning and connections between everything. Using the ideas of parodies and mashups to create something productive for a video game group, or music group. Knowing the communities you are trying to break into and become apart of is the best way to be apart of the participatory culture. If someone was to emulate my project they would take their own art pieces and match it up to a video that has meaning to them; maybe it gave the inspiration for the art piece. My personal identity is all connected from the music I listen (Avenge Sevenfold) to to the comedians I watch online (Jenna Marbels).
